26/06/11 -- Summer 'Flutter' Outfit

I was debating what to wear today, and decided that I would post it, although I ended up changing because it was way too hot!

Gold Bracelet

I can’t remember for definite where this bracelet is from, but I have a feeling it was Claire’s Accessories. This isn’t my favourite gold bracelet (I prefer my bangles), but it’s better for casual stuff as it isn’t so ‘in your face’. The only thing I really don’t like about it is the fact that the gold on it appears to fade, leaving it some of it silver looking, but I rarely wear this, so it’s a detriment I can live with.

Gold Cupcake Necklace

This necklace was between £5 and £10 in Matalan, somewhere I rarely shop unless visiting my friend in Gloucester. This is mega cute, and is a great piece of gold jewellery for me, as my other gold necklaces are all a bit OTT, making this better for casual stuff, although is sparkly enough for formal stuff as well.

Silver Stud Earrings

I like these because they’re plain and simple but cute, so they can go with anything, but they are irritating if I wear them for too long. As per usual with my earrings, these were most probably from Claire’s Accessories.

White Pumps

These pumps were actually bought in a sport shop, for probably a reasonable price. They’re quite comfortable, and as they are white, go with pretty much all my summery things, making them a staple piece of my wardrobe in Spring and Summer.

Three Quarter Length Jeans

These jeans were one my mums, but then she gave them to me. They are actually full-length jeans, but they have been turned up so that they are three quarter lengths. I really like these, and they’re probably my favourite pair of three quarter length trousers I have.

Make My Heart Flutter Vest Top

I bought this top at Dorothy Perkins for £18. I had to get a size smaller than usual (I’m normally size 10-12, so I had to get a size 8), because it was quite baggy, but it looks a lot better a bit tighter.

26/06/11 -- Leopard Print Top Smart Casual Outfit

It was a birthday of a close friend of mine, so she and her family came round to ours for a drink etc. last night. I wanted to wear something pretty and party worthy, but not being too OTT, as it wasn’t really a party as much as a get together, and we were sitting around all night, so it had to be comfy. As per usual, I found an excuse to blog!

Silver Sparkly Heart Necklace

This is one of my favourite necklaces – a gift from one of my closest friends that goes with a lot of stuff in my wardrobe. It’s so sparkly – which I love, but is still simple enough to wear every day as well as special events. I simply adore this!

Silver Gem Earrings

These silver earrings were a gift from a friend, and I have to admit I never really change my earrings much, so these, as they are quite simple and very pretty, are great for parties to add a little glitz!

Silver Bracelet With Black Heart Charm

I got this silver bracelet a few years ago for a friend’s party, and actually ended up losing it a while after. I found it again, though, and it’s a staple piece in my wardrobe when I’m wearing dark coloured clothes.

Black Boots

I simply adore these black boots from Bentalls! They were about £15, I think, and just scream ‘SEXY’, but are a bit big, even though a size smaller than my regular shoe size, so are better in winter when you can wear fluffy socks with them and not get your feet melted off!

Leopard Print Top

I got this top in one of my favourite shops – New Look! I bought it a few years ago, but if I remember correctly it was about £10-£20. It’s a really pretty top for more formal stuff, and is great in cooler weather with a jacket or bolero, or great in warmer weather just as it is.

Super Skinny Jeans

I bought these skinny jeans in Matalan last summer. I lived in these jeans forever until I got my hands on some boyfriend jeans because their ‘super skinny’ meaning they’re stretchy & mega comfy!

20/06/11 -- Floral Dress Outfit

I went to Blackbushe Market with my family on Sunday, and ended up buying this new floral dress. My immediate instinct when I got home was to try it on and find some matching shoes and accessories! Needless to say, I did, and this is the outfit I came up with.

As I’m using a new system for these kinds of updates (if you haven’t read the post explaining how things work now, read it here: http://tbffashionblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/new-system-for-uploads-from-my-wardrobe.html) these are the links to the individual items:

Gold Ring

This ring is fast becoming one of my favourite pieces of jewellery, as it is bling yet simple, and the colour means it can go with pretty much anything. I love to slip it on when I’m wearing something casual that needs a bit of glam, or to add yet more glitz to a formal outfit, already with gold accessories.

Lace-Up Beige Cut Out Sandals

I got the shoes in New Look for about £20. I have to admit, I’m a lover for heels, but they must be comfy! Even though these are tiny heels, they are really pretty, they’re also mega comfy, and have a more causal feel to them than my other heels, making them one of my favourite pairs of shoes for summer.

Pink Necklace and Bracelet

This necklace and bracelet were a gift from a good friend of mine. I have to admit, I don’t wear them much, because not a lot of my wardrobe is pink, and the majority of it that is pink is usually more casual stuff, so this always feels a little too dressy. I do have to admit though, they are absolutely beautiful and I love them!

Floral Dress

This is a dress I bought at Blackbushe Market for £10. it’s quite good quality, and I changed the chord on the front because it originally was a disgusting brown colour that totally didn’t match the colour scheme, but found this fabulous dark pink-ish coloured chord laying around in a draw, and it matches perfectly! I love the ruffles – they add a really cutesy edge!

New System for Uploads From My Wardrobe

Okay, so I’m starting a new system for uploading outfits straight from my wardrobe. Instead of uploading an image of each thing I use in the post(s) related to it, I will upload each image as a separate post, with a small description. In each outfit I use that item, I’ll put a link to that single post with it, as well as a picture of the full outfit. This will make it a lot quicker and easier for me to upload & update, and will probably save a lot of space in the long run.

18/06/11 -- "The Girl Who Was On Fire" Design

So my friend got me to read ‘The Hunger Games’, a trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, and even though I haven’t quite finished the first one yet, I LOVE IT! The main character, Katniss, is sometimes referred to ‘the girl who was on fire’ by a character called Cinna, and I had a burst of creative energy and designed this. Feel happy, I coloured it for once!

Also, I updated a video of me drawing it onto YouTube to an account especially for stuff related to this blog! This is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWPVeK9sIxY

16/06/11 -- Beauté; Mode

In French today, we got told that the whole of our year are having a competition – making a French magazine. We got into groups and brainstormed ideas, and my group settled on a movie review page, an advice page, a fun stuff page, and last but not least, a fashion page. I (obviously) volunteered to do the fashion page, and I have had far too much fun with this already! One of the things I’m featuring is an outfit with information about where to buy them, their prices etc., so I decided to use polyvore and this is what I came up with!

13/06/11 -- Starting on Polyvore!

So I was bored today, so I went on polyvore because it’s something I’ve never done before, but has always looked like fun! So my first polyvore is the kind of clothes my OC, Mags, would wear. I’m really glad with how great it looks – I’ve always put a lot of thought into her style and what kind of clothes she would wear in any situation, and the clothes I found were pretty much perfect! I think I’ll probably use polyvore more often instead of drawing out ideas, which for me takes a long time, and I’m not that great at drawing anyway.

So go enjoy my polyvore-ness, since I’ll be using it a lot in the future!

08/06/11 - StarKid Designs

It’s been a few days since my last post, but I’m back with more cool stuff! After a facebook post about Harry Potter, one of my friends told me to watch ‘A Very Potter Musical’ on YouTube. I pretty much fell instantly in love, watched A Very Potter Musical (AVPM), then A Very Potter Sequel (AVPS), Starship and Me And My D*ck (MAMD) in one week, and managed to rewatch AVPM. It’s fair to say I’m hooked! I think that the StarKid Company (the name of the people who made the musicals) are TOTALLY AWESOME (total AVPM reference ;]), and was bored one day so decided to design some t-shirts with some of my favourite quotes, I warn you, I can’t draw (like Hermione) so the model for each design is traced. I just finished watching StarKid’s webseries, Little White Lie, and I’m contemplating designing a tee for that too, but haven’t got round to it yet.

02/06/11 -- Masked Party!

I’ve been invited to a masked party, so it seemed yo be the perfect time to have some fun going shopping and raiding my wardrobe! After a lot of debating, I settled on this. I wanted something pretty but not to OTT because I have a family party before this one, so the outfits have to double up. I bought the mask in Bookends for a bargain of £5! More information on my outfit in previous posts!

Hope you like it!!!

02/06/11 -- Masked Party!

The necklace was a gift from Christmas, and I hardly get to wear it because I never really wear gold, but it seems the perfect opportunity to go all out and fancy!

The bangles & ring were £6 each from M&Co., somewhere I regularly get dragged to whilst shopping with my mum! I love the ring – it’s so bling yet so simple, and the bangles are classy and simple.

02/06/11 -- Masked Party!

So I got the shoes in New Look just before Christmas for about £20. most definitely my favourite pair of heels – really pretty and you can dress them up or down!

The dress again is from New Look (I have to admit I could live on clothes from there!), last summer. It was a fabulous £25, although I got it for £20 as it was last in stock!

Updating with a new outfit later :)

1/06/11 -- Casual 'Flutter' Outfit

I got the bracelet as a gift quite a few years ago. I love it because it’s cute and simple, although I ended up wearing a multi-coloured bangle, but I didn’t get a chance to get a pic before I had to leave!

The necklace was most probably bought in Claire’s Accessories, or possibly New Look, about three years ago. It’s great to go with more casual things like this outfit, & more formal outfits, too.
